Shop-a-holics can rest easy now with the grand opening of Urges Plaza that took place August 2nd 2009.  Uthernews reporter _Jarvis_ goes one on one in an exclusive interview with Urges_Plaza.

What is Urges Plaza Exactly?

Urges Plaza is a shopping center dedicated to advertising the products and services of Utherverse members. It has 3 floors of shops with 12 shops on each floor. Some shop renters even have their own region stores that can be accessed by clicking on the door of their shop within the plaza.

Can any designer or service provider set up shop here? What is the process to have a shop at Urges Plaza?

Urges Plaza welcomes ALL types of retail services.  The process is obtain a shop at Urges Plaza is really simple. Just send Urges_Plaza an email explaining a little about the product or service that you provide. I will then contact the potential renter and explain to them about rent, due dates and shop specifics. Once payment has been sent to me, I will then proceed to setup the shop as the client states. I then ask to meet with the client to review their shop for approval.

What features can a shop owner look to have once they are established at Urges Plaza?

Shop renters have access to hold business events anytime they wish at Urges Plaza at no extra charge. The only requirement is that the shop renter books their business event with Urges Plaza so that there are no scheduling conflicts with other events that may be happening at that time.

Shop renters can also reap the benefits of heavy foot traffic of the RLC Street where Urges Plaza is located.

I believe having a store in which you can browse is beneficial as well. Before, if someone was looking for a Zaby designer they would go on a friend's referral, find one advertising themselves in the street or have to search through forums. Now with the shops you can browse the Zaby designers posters, linked albums or even enter the designer's Zaby to see first hand what kind of work they provide.

New members might be confused about custom textures, what ways do you see Urges Plaza helping to educate them?

Urges Plaza will soon feature the UtherCloset tutorial created by _SexyOne_. I have also made my own UtherCloset video tutorial that is posted inside of Urges Plaza Info Center as well as linked on the Urges_Plaza profile. I believe that the fashion designers, UtherCloset shoppers, and myself are more than willing to give a helping hand when needed as well.
 

Can you tell us what makes Urges Plaza different from the other business venues here at Utherverse?

Urges Plaza offers affordable, convenient business opportunities to Utherverse members. Urges Plaza is the only "stand-alone" business that is not affiliated or a branch of a club venue.

What sort of shops can we find at Urges Plaza?

Currently, Urges Plaza has shops for UtherCloset fashion designers, Zaby designers, a wedding boutique, a WG Pleasure Ranch, websites outside of Utherverse that offer products or services. Basically, there are no limits as to who can rent a shop space so long as they are retail.

Will Urges Plaza be used for other things besides shops selling?

Urges Plaza will be used for hanging out with friends, fashion shows, game shows or even a wedding for shop-a-holics (lol)

You have many skills and talents yourself, and have worn many hats here on Utherverse. What inspired you to make this business change and set up Urges Plaza?

As some may or may not know, I previously owned Club Surge which featured a custom clothing and tattoo shop inside called Tattoons. I was looking to build a region for Tattoons because of the UtherCloset system. I didn't feel it would be wise to have a shop on that scale within my club region. I then got the idea to rent out window space to 5 other fashion designers and feature their designs in the Tattoons region. I was running around Utherverse one day "window shopping" for a region size that I wanted to purchase for Tattoons. I entered into the Zaby Lobby and the idea hit me like a ton of bricks. Why stop at a store I asked myself. Why not build a mall! The more I thought about it the more sense it made to me. There are so many talented people here in Utherverse and unless you are fortunate enough to one of them personally or know someone who knows one of them, then chances are slim that you get the privilege of seeing their talents firsthand. As soon as I started discussing my idea of Urges Plaza to a few talented individuals I knew I had to complete this project. To hear the excitement they had about finally having the chance to have their own little slice of RLC. Their own place that anyone and everyone can walk into from the street and see what they have to offer.

Does Urges Plaza have some sort of website with all the information for members of Utherverse to tap into?

I believe simplicity is best. All information regarding renting or what shops are currently located at Urges Plaza can all be found on the Urges_Plaza profile.
 

Does Urges Plaza have any further developing plans?

My goals are always set high and my mind is always envisioning *grin*
 

Urges Plaza is located on Centrum BLVD.  Right across from the Greek statute and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to service your needs.
