I was made to think on this...

I just read a bulletin posted by jadebird_bop that really got me thinking again about what the verse does mean to many of us. I have to give credit to her for giving me such pause to think on this and in my own thoughts, words and terms I write this article.

We all came into the verse and really saw it as what it was, on the surface. For a while we wander, slipping into most any door that will allow us entry, learning all the tricks, playing the "game" of virtual life and in general, having a blast as it is, after all, a "game". Then comes the conclusion that it's ohhh soooo much more. What the founders neglected to tell us, was that while Utherverse is, in fact, a virtual 3d entertainment facility, it is also full of real people!! Those first few days or so are mainly not so much meeting them as people, but rather enjoying the flirting and beyond of avitars. But then we meet our first in-world friends. We discover that they have something to actually say, that they have lives, families and are, just like us, others learning just how broad the real world is, yet how grand it is to be able to reach out and virtually touch one another in-world and to find that we may have sooo much to offer one another.

The process of virtual life in the verse is much more complex that those that haven't experienced it can fathom. There in manyyy families on here, there are many teams on here, also there are those that simply enjoy sliding around the whole of the verse enjoying meeting all the different people and groups that are on here. The clubs become families as well and offer many diverse attractions, people and music so that all feel welcome in one, or more of them. Just like in real world, the verse offers such a grand diversity of people, tastes, ideas and concepts that most anyone that really looks will find just what suits them best.

We get to know many people on here and learn about their lives, their cultures and the way they really feel. We care when they are sick or have troubles, we revel and cheer when news of something great in their lives happens. We learn to like, enjoy and even love others that for only the sake of Utherverse we can, or would, meet. Our odd, quirky and at times infurriating little verse is what we all make it. After all, everytime we log on, we do leave our footprints all over the place so that others can follow and in turn we follow those that went before. We also make new trails and on and on. That is how the verse grows and blossoms.

For myself, I truly love this place and it's people and only want for the verse to grow and become hugeeeee. For within the growth of Utherverse, lies the continued growth of humanities ability to learn, love and truly come together in a place of peace and contentment.
