This houses list is sorted by Houses_of_U (HoU). The mission of HoU is simple. To collect information of Utherverse houses and families, and more importantly, to become a symbol... A symbol that shows that it's members are proud of their name, and proud of the Utherverse Community, and strive to make it better for all. As a starting point HoU looks for families / houses that have a minimum of 5 verifed members.

Why have a family/house profile ??

1. Pride - Most families/houses take great pride in who they are, and what they represent. A profile would possibly give your members a real sense of belonging. Create a logo, and ask members to put that logo / link on their profile. HoU can assist in doing that.

2. Public Relations - Several members of Utherverse look for friendship and commradery in a group with similar likes. HoU is designed to assist those members in finding information about your family/house. Since HoU cannot list every detail about every family/house, we simply link to your profile. Members of HoU have a link on our main page to your profile.

3. Member Communication - A family/house profile is a great way to maintain good communication between your members. Not only can you list your members in your friends list, but can also make your blog private for communication between your members.

Content Suggestions

1. Identify your tag. Some profiles I've visited didn't say what the tag stood for. This is alsways one of the first questions I get. lol

2. Description. Describe your group. Mostly what I am asked are things like..

What is, if any in particular, your members sexual orentation?

What is thier hierarchy, and how does their chain of command work?

Do they require members to pay dues?

Do they have regular meetings of your members?

Do they have a dim, or where do they usually 'hang out'?

What languages do they speak? If you have members that are multilingual.. say that on your profile, in that language.

3. Member List. Several houses use the house profile to list just thier members and/or other organizational associations in their friends list.

4. Event Lisings. Use the comments section to post your events [and don't forget to post here also :)] You can also even put in a Google calendar, which, if public, can be pulled into the HoU calendar.

5. Music. You can install a playlist so that your members have a common profile to open for music if you are gathered in an area that does not have music, or no DJ.

6. Work your profile! Ask a couple of your senior or trusted members to assist in maintaining your profile. Some even VIP their house profile to collect dues or donations to pay for group functions. Just remember, a basic profile CAN NOT give away rays.
